Anne Wilson is my 9 year old daughter's favorite! When we saw her at the Iowa State Fair in August, we pre-ordered a copy of her book and we received an advance copy from Anne. My daughter devoured it, but didn't share it with me. Lol! We got our copy from Amazon this week and I finally had a chance to read it. I can't even tell you the last nonfiction book I read. I don't really like nonfiction, but this captured me. It feels conversational and I'm so impressed by Anne Wilson's wisdom and faith at such a young age. It's the story about her brother's death and how she trusted God through it. I sobbed my way through a lot of it, but it's a true example of how God brings beauty from ashes. "This is a difficult reality: We can only fully understand how God brings life out of death and joy out of mourning when we have walked through it." It's a quick and beautiful read. I LOVE that my daughter is getting such a positive message from someone she looks up to! Her book is filled with God's love and truth and so are her songs! Even though I cried throughout the book, it leaves you with hope and not despair and heartache. We all have times of suffering and this book can touch your heart and bring you hope.
