This is the 25th year I have purchased this datebook. It has always been a lovely treat I give myself. They’re lined up nicely on the bookshelf, for easy reference. The 2023 datebook has made some changes that I feel detract from its usual luxury & elegance. The paper feels different-not as silky to the touch as it used to be. The book itself seems more flexible/bendable; as if the pages and/or covers are of thinner material. The font for much of the text has been changed from Times New Roman type font, to either the plainest of fonts (like Ariel,) and some cartoon, bright blue, poster style font; neither really “fit” in a fine art art date book project. While I realize the Ariel font is easier to read for the tinier print; the larger size days of the week, in the plain, stick font look more like an oversight or a poor visual choice. The art images are still printed very well. The sturdy double wire binding still appears the same. It’s still quite serviceable; but a little disappointing. It just misses the mark of past excellence. I would not gift the 2023 version to someone else.
